Developer, Writer, and Lifelong Learner

Hello! I am Michael Kang, Canadian born and raised, currently living in Barrie, Ontario.

I studied at the University of Toronto and completed my Honours Bachelor's of Science, majoring in Computer Science (specialising in Software Engineering) in November 2023. During my time at the University of Toronto I completed a four month term as a Database & Business Intelligence Intern at Questrade and an eight month term as a Software Developer Intern at Ceridian. With experience working with Ophardt Hygiene as a Full Stack Developer on their Ecommerce platform, I have returned to Dayforce as a Software Developer.

Other than school and computer science, I am a huge fan of reading and creative writing. Largely fantasy and science fiction genres. I have written a few short stories and currently querying for anthologies, magazines, and other collections - while I work on a few longer form novels that I have been thinking about for awhile.
